Jill Horowitz

Hello, my name is Jillian Horowitz, and I am a current second-year student at California College of the Arts. As someone who grew up in a very film-centered family, I developed a connection to animation and visual effects early on in my life. That being said, after developing artistic abilities in middle and high school while working in movie theaters for a couple of years, I set my sights on a career in the animation industry.

While I have developed animation techniques at CCA, I have begun to take an interest in character design and visual development, usually leaning towards any opportunity I can to design various creatures and monsters. This is also why my favorite character I have designed so far is the Raptor Fish, which is to be used in my Junior Thesis Project, The Storm.
